Ignoring for the moment that you’re planning to commit fraud.
Telling a retailer that you’ve had someone attempt an unauthorised repair will give them the perfect excuse to walk away from any warranty commitments.
In this case it’s even worse because you can’t even provide any evidence that whoever did the work was competent to do so.
