pc no boot up

hi
my lad started his pc up and nothing on the screen . the fans are running and the g/card fan is too but no bootup screen . i have tried the graphics card in another machine and its fine . im thinking its the mobo ( badaxe 2 ) or the cpu ( e6600 ) . is there anything else it could be like the battery or something or is there any way of telling for sure what component it is thats borked .

You could try reseating the ram, sometimes this works.

Try different monitor/tv.

Try different vga/dvi/hdmi cable.

That's all i can think of.

If it helps I ran into some post issues on my build, the first was the ram wasn't seated correctly (as freddie64 said) the second was while building I'd managed to work one of the PCIe power cables loose from the psu. So remember to check all your connections, even try removing as much as possible and then build it back up until it no longer posts.

i think ill have to do the above . hopefully something has come loose ccos im a bit skint at the moment
