If time machines existed and you could go back for a day at what point would you like to go back too?

Mine would be the college days when I first got my PC. 2006-2008. Playing loads of Crisis,Left 4 Dead, Footy manager. Throughout the night with my whole desk covered in cheap energy drinks and junk food. Think I had a AMD 4200+ dual core CPU with 2GB RAM with a HD 3870. The good old days not a care in the world! Sign of getting old maybe. Thought it be a good thread for people to share their fond memories!

Today is fine

My PC is more stable and easier to use than its ever been in my previous 24 years of PC ownership. Most games I can play with a wireless Xbox pad now, graphics are better, story's are more complex.

I'd love to have the spare time and responsibilities (less) that I had as a teenager but Windows 10, steam and modern games are just less hassle.

Early 2000's. I had my first ever decently paid job and treated myself to a nice AMD PC with graphics card and a 17 inch monitor. Spent many a happy hour playing Quake 3 arena. This was also the days of napster and lime wire. Officially illegal I know, but come on, everyone was doing it, especially when I got my first ADSL connection with my Alcatel green stingray modem.

Oh the days! Remember Kazzaaa aswell. May have got the name wrong! So many viruses trying to download a simple track :D

Playing Quake 2 / 3, Half life, counter strike, team fortress, Medal of honour AA, Diablo 2 LOD and red Alert 2 on my old p3 450mhz PC upgraded to 256mb ram and a GeForce 4 420mx pci graphics card :D I suppose all this happened early 2000's so I'd say that was my fave era, more so than the dos days :)

far too many to pick one. but stand outs for me were probably Heimdall/Turrican 2/Championship Manager on the Amiga - so much time spent (wasted!) on those. in more recent times probably CS 1.6 on a 512 'broadband' connection - that was 'fun'

I remember searching for HPB servers as I was on a 44kb modem.

03-07 when I was addicted to CS:S. Played in a clan for years, great times. My PC was rubbish at the time and I was laggy yet still pretty good at it. If I'd had a capable PC I could have been something to fear haha. Throw in some Ventrilo, TF2 and C&C Zero Hour on the side and that was my life.

Playing Jetset Willie on the Spectrum.

that was a day my life changed!
But you could never beat it, as it had a bug in it - well my copy did and I didn't find out about the poke fix until recently. Not that I could get most of the items anyway... I'd kept getting killed in a room where you lost all your lives as soon as you'd respawn... But that first time I made it to the moon... :O

I was way too young to beat it... I just loved the novelty. :)

Yeah the room on the far left of the mansion, even if you poke bugged that room it didn't lead anywhere, utterly amazing game though and I agree with you about the moon transition phase!

Joint operations and the launch of BF2 Gulf of Oman demo. Still remember the night we were all clicking furiously at the demo download and cursing the slow speed.
