I have a B 550 Tomahawk mobo with a Ryzen 7 3700 x. Couple months ago I got a ram error on the LED error. I took my PC to the shop and they told me that both the cPU pin and mobo socket seems to be damaged. However, they got it to boot by plugging in the cpu fan in the pump header instead of the cpu fan header . Now some months later I removed my gpu in order to remove a small screw that got stuck inbetween and now I get the same error. I didn't remove the CPU, coooler or ram . I tried plugging on the cpu cooler( wraith prism) in both the cpu and pump header and nothing changed , still no boot. I reset the mobo battery and power drained the pc . Nothing works . Before replacing the mobo and cpu I would like to ask whether someone can guess the issue , since i did not change anything wit the cpu or ram?

Assuming it's two sticks of RAM, have you tried one at a time? Take everything out of the case and tested with the bare minimum?

I had an issue of over tightening the CPU cooler when building a PC for my mother recently (B550). The PC wouldn't boot with the RAM in the suggested slots (I got a ram error on LED too) but I could get it to boot in other slots. Thing is, this meant it would only run in single channel. After searching for others experiencing this same issue I read a few people that had loosened the screws for the CPU cooler and that it had rectified their problem. I fully removed the cooler then put it back on making sure I didn't put it on as tight as I had done before and it booted up fine with the RAM in the suggested slots with dual channel running perfectly.

It was a Noctua DH14 cooler so I wanted to make sure it was secure due to the weight of the thing but even with a little less tightening it's perfectly secure and now I had a perfectly working PC to hand over to my mother.
So my suggestion is, put the RAM in different slots (so if now in A1, B1 move to A2, B2 or vice versa). If it boots check CPU-Z to see if you're running single channel or dual channel. If it's dual channel, you're good to go but if not, possibly try what I suggested regarding the cooler.

If that doesn't work, as Orcvader above suggested, try one stick at a time. I'm not saying this is your problem, just throwing something out there with what I experienced on the same motherboard socket (Asus TuF Gaming Wifi Plus II B550).

Bent pins are a bastardd to fix, if your motherboard has another bank of ram slots try them or try running one stick at a time. In all honesty though your looking at a new motherboard.

I removed every stick. I had 32 GB installed with 4 ram sticks. worked with 1 and 1 more in dual channel. Others are probably faulty but only time will tell , for now it works with 16 GB. This is not my main PC so I am just glad it works even like this. I guess if the CPU and mobo were broken they would not even post like this.

If you've got it working with dual channel ram then you got off light. When this happened to me I could only get my PC to work with one stick in one slot.

At first I removed all and added just 1 stick until I got it to boot. Then I tried to get one more to work for dual channel 16 gb
