PC not booting with GPU

Possible worth trying a different monitor cable. I’d also set the system up outside the case, just to rule out any oddball shorts.
How would a cable stop the pc booting?
I've tried building outside the case too.

what power supply is in it? Ahh I see some smart dude already asked. I mean one thing i would try is changing the PCIe version in the bios and seeing if it boots using a different PCIe standard.

I tried that.
Someone said build the pc outside the case, I did, what is likely to be shorting if it was the problem? Have you come across it before.
A few people suggested it to try.

You are eliminating the case and cables making a short and any fans ,etc by building outside of the case.

UPDATE:
I got a new GPU and the PC boots, all working.
Very strange. I sold the other one which was tested working.
I'm glad it's done.
Thanks to everyone for trying to help.

It's rare but the could have been some kind of compatibility issue with your old card and the motherboard, unless your new card is a 5500, in that case a very weird problem indeed
