PC not reconizing my CPU's second Core.... help! :(

Make sure you have the latest bios installed that may help in your MB identifing the cores
What core 2 duo are using, as it might not be compatable.
Not sure which board your running, below is what MSI come up with:

I had the same problem yesterday building my i7 975 EE. CPU-Z would only recognise two cores, was driving me crazy !!!!!! Thought I had a duff chip.
Go to msconfig, boot, advance options, untick no of processes, apply, reboot.
Do the same again, but choose the max amount of processes 4? then tick, and reboot.
