Separate from other thread, my monitor would not turn on, turns out I think it was because gpu was not connected. So, now when I connect pci-e on gpu to the cpu slot on psu, the computer won't turn on. When I take out the pci-e cable for gpu it will turn on but monitor won't work or keyboard and mouse won't light up. Any ideas?

wait, you plugged the gpu into the motherboard pcie slot? then you hooked up the power plugs to the gpu from the psu? usually one or two block connectors

then you plugged in the display cable from monitor to the back of gpu and still no picture?

running latest motherboard bios? id update that first using onboard (cpu) graphics

It goes wrong at connecting gpu to psu using the pci-e and vga slots on gpu. Soon as pci-e slot is used nothing will turn on. But I can't run the pc even with the on board graphics In the mobo

I got it running I have the vga 6+8 connected from psu to gpu. Now I'm stuck on bios and can't do anything not even access bios. Keyboard monitor and mouse all work how can I update from here?

Gpu is connected to motherboard, there's a vga cable that goes into the gpu, it has 6/8 cables, I put both into the gpu from psu. But the pci-e cable that went from gpu to psu is no longer in gpu and has been replaced then by the vga cable, it's working but not sure is that correct for setup?

inside your pc you have all the power connectors plugged into gpu from psu? it wont work otherwise

then outside of pc you need the display cable plugged into the back of gpu,it can be either hdmi/vga/dvi or display port, whichever ones your monitor supports

if yes to all of that then yh your gpu is working,if not it might still be running off cpu graphics

what you should do is go back to using cpu graphics, unplug gpu if need be then update to latest bios and then install gpu and try again

remember to connect monitor to gpu when you install it and not leave it connected to motherboard/cpu graphics
