My thinking is this

if you can build a VR games system , it will work just as well for non-VR too

my current system :

AMD 3600
AMD 5700 XT
Corsair Vengeance 16Gb RAM
MSI 570x Tomahawk motherboard

Tempted to drop a 5800X3D in to replace the 3600
but if i did that, the GPU would be limited

i use VD on default settings all the time, and im happy with HL Aylx , Elite Dangerous though could do with an upgrade (Fighting thargoids around stations/planets is impossible as the FPS tanks)

What would you guys suggest in upgrading ?

the Quest 3 / Deckard is going to have higher resolution screens, so I'm going to be left behind

i just tried HL Alyx

changed the desktop streamer to HVEC

first time I've played this since taken out the glasses spacer though, so might be a coincidence

but on my right lens, the image is overlapping right on the edge far right
left lens, no problem

something is wrong

ANY steam VR game i play
tried walkabout and HL so far, and im distorting on the right
not happened before now

ill try resetting back to how i had it, then start again
lets get this distortion corrected first

also :

(old drivers only i think this refers to)

Virtual Desktop: The only app that works BUT the encoder has to be H264 otherwise you will crash in games, in SteamVR, some at the moment of loading like Hellsplit: Arena, or other like GORN or Into the Radius will crash after a few minutes or hours and when it happens you will be lucky if you don't need to reboot the system in order to get the Adrenalin menu to work again or steam to launch a game properly.
