I'm having specific trouble with 1 of my pcs. I think it might be the MOBO but I am not sure. The pc was working fine for at least over 2 years, and one day when I wanted to power it on, it wouldn't come on.
The problem is it won't power on at all. I thought it might be a faulty switch on the case but I moved the Mobo into a brand new case, but still it won't power on.
The mobo is a ASUS A7N8X-X socket A AMD. When I turn on the switch at the back of the PSU, the MOBO power led comes on but when i press the power switch on the front of the case, it won't power on. I checked the connectors for the front panel etc and its all connected correctly. I dont think its a grounding problem either. Been building pcs for relatives and friends in my spare time and this is the first time this has happened.
I am very stumped.
anyone know what could be causing this? think it might be a faulty Mobo? anyone with the same MOBO experience the same problems?
