Hi i have a new pc i built a few months back with the help of you guys here and ocuk

But now im having problems i got up this morning and the pc would not boot .1st said error cant communicate with harddrive or cdrom or a usb storage device ,So i tried everything from other stuff to reinsatall no go and only thing i could think it was after testing was the hd.So i bought a new one today put it in all installed ok booted up ran slow as hell beeps not the same at startup from mobo .And now it wont get any further than the loading windows screen it just sticks on that . I feel that its still part of the same problem so im thinking it may not be the hd tottally..

MSI P67A-C45
4GB RAM
i5 2400k
ATI 5850

I get one loud beep from mobo it used to be a couple of short beeps . Ive tried ram new hd . im stuck now what to do it also tried to repair windows but could not fix . It does not feel the same if you know what i mean even with the new hd it ran odd slow and unresponsive now wont boot jut stuck on that starting windows screen . Any ideas ?

Well i tried new ram as i have another pc with the same ram so took it out tested still same .

Ive managed to reinstall the pc i have got it working but still iffey ..

Its running slow at some points . The cores show its not doing much but like 1% to 3% they are at and the pc stuggles to open folders ect . So i thought i would try prime 95 see what that does , When running all cores go to 100% and passed after 30mins .

Still beeps the one beep with new ram . Dont know if thats to the bios and drivers of the mobo being up to date as not sure if they was totally before ,But they are now .

Its running for now but slugish at opening folders or programs thought it could be cpu but with prime 95 seems to be ok . Could it be a mobo thing chipset in that or some thing . Ive ruled out Harddrive ,Ram ,Cpu seems ok with prime 95 ,

I dont want to put every thing back on hd incase i lose it all again .

sometimes its to do with the ram not installed properly or faulty ram. but it might be a problem with the mobo. ive had the same problems before but with mine it didnt boot at all. i replaced the mobo and everything was back to normal.

well I've tried new ram from another pc that's same make and type as the ones I have in . But I get the little blue circle come up on everything as though it cant cope with doing anything . Im stuck at what to do next

I got a new mother board and seems to be all ok now

Did not know which to get so went for the ASus pro b3 revision . Any good ?
