Hi guys

Just recently upgraded my computer with a graphics card from **** and a bundle consisting of a motherboard, CPU and ram from over lockers. Spec are -

Intel Core i5 2500K 3.30GHz @ 4.00GHz Sandybridge CPU
Gigabyte Z68AP-D3 Intel Z68
Kingston HyperX Beast 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel
Prolimatech Lynx CPU Cooler
Samsung SpinPoint F3 500GB SATA-II 16MB Cache
OCZ ModXStream Pro 500w
XFX AMD Radeon 7850 HD 860MHz 2GB PCI-Express 3.0

Been playing games all afternoon and computers been running great. Left it downloading far cry 3 on steam and came back 2 hours later to discover that the PC had turned itself off.

I tried turning it on. It powers up for about a second then goes off for about 2 seconds then goes on again cut the monitor doesn't detect it. All the fans on the CPU, graphics card and the PSU are on. I tried a different graphics card and hard drive but same problem.

I think it must be the CPU or the motherboard but surely they've not conked out after 2 days use ?

Thanks for the replies.

I done a reset and its giving me 2 options -

Continue with system resume which I tried and it just stalls on the resuming windows.

The other option is -

Delete restoration data and proceed to system boot menu

Should I try that ?

Ok I done that and my pc's working again :)

Bit worried about overclocking the cpu back to what it was, its now reading as

3.30GHz 3.60 GHz as opposed to the 3.90 GHz it was showing before.

Yeah I bought this as a pre over clocked bundle. It was supposed to be over clocked to 4GHz but it was listed as 3.9 GHz.

Now after the reset its back to 3.3 GHZ

There's a section in the OCUK Full Systems & Bundles forum that says u just need to go into the bios and load the OcUK/Profile1 but no such profile exists.

Looks like I might have to over clock it myself and I'm no expert....
