Hey guys slight issue with my machine I've now changed any components or any thing but all of a sudden when I boot my computer it takes ages to get past log in screen then all I get is black screen with a cursor on but i alt ctrl dell and start task manager and end the explorer.Exe and start a new explorer.exe it loads my desktop fine any ideas it'd a pain having to do this every time I boot up

Something could be conflicting with explorer.exe which is causing it crash like a UI. Try creating a new account. Either way it's a software issue and not hardware.

You could try: run>msconfig> and tick 'diagnostic start up' and see if the symptoms persist OR create a new user account and check it.

Have you try Window Repair on it? By the look of it, your start.int or boot.in maybe be broken or damage! I would also backup any data that you don't want to lose too.

Hope that helps!

Aston.

I would also go with some form of software conflict or a corrupt user account. It's always worth running cmd prompt as admin and running "sfc /scannow" to check for any issues, Microsoft themselves recommend running this three times.

I occasionally have something similar happen when i boot my PC up witha phone or flash drive plugged in via USB.

Instead of 10 second boot,it can take up to 90 seconds, every single time it happens,a storage device of some kind is plugged in via USb
