My computer just randomly turned off and when I tried booting up all I get is a "no OS found". I tried removing the secondary drive and it boots up fine. However, after being in windows for a few minutes everything freezes up and I can't do anything... Wish I never bothered installing windows 8 now.

Any ideas?

Install Windows 7? :p Could be any number of things, faulty HDD, corrupt installation, other hardware fault (bad SATA ports on the mobo).

I've actually got it into windows after switching drive priority round. But it still hangs after a few mins still.

I had the exact same problem with my Vertex 2. Left it overnight and the next time I tried to power on it didn't recognise the HDD at all.

Ended up RMAing and OCZ sent me a new one which has been fine although I now save nothing but the OS on it!

Can't wipe from the BIOS sadly, the fact you can't boot to CD either suggests to me it's not just a HDD problem, but still a bit difficult to diagnose with the info you've given...

Make sure it reads the DVD Drive first otherwise it won't try to boot from it.

You can format your SSD within the installation process and then install over it, then get it a diagnostics run and see if any of the sectors are bad,
failing etc etc.

E:\ Just to add, W8 for me anyway used to warn me saying my SSD has errors and should tried to be repaired. When Windows 8 did this, the drive would hang/freeze or just not load the OS. It eventually fixed in the end after a couple re-installs of the system, but I just turned the notification off in the end as I check my drives from time to time and the SSD is at 100% health. Just a little heads up if you notice this with your SSD.
