Hi there,

The PC I am using contantly hangs for a split second. It's like the pc complelety locks up just then and there, and then works fine again. It was a hassle just to type this post because the freezing means that letters keep getting missed out.

Spec:

Intel Pentium Dual Core E2200 (stock)
Asus P5K EPU Intel P35
OCZ 4GB (2x2GB) PC2-6400C5 Dual Channel Vista Gold Series DDR2
Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 500GB SATA-II 32MB Cache
HIS ATI Radeon HD 4850 IceQ 4 Turbo 512MB GDDR3
Antec NSK 4480 Mini Tower Case (Silver)
Antec 380W EarthWatts PSU

As I've been typing this sentence no hangs at all? It's intermittent, just happens without warning. Suggestions?

Done a spyware and antivirus scan recently?
Defragged, cleared out unused files using Disc Cleanup?

Got the same problem on both my kids socket A rigs i built for them.

Never seen it on any of mine but both of their are now doing it. I just put it down to something dodgey getting put on the pc by one of the various kids sites they visit yo play games.

Done the usual scans etc but still happens. Not a biggie as its not my pc but would be nice to be able to fix it :)

Any luck yet?
