what has been happening with my computer is when i playing games that are intensive and run any stress test my pc was rebooting itself during gamplay or running a stress test benchmark so i was told it sounded like my psu , so i got a new one and now the problem is still there but instead if a reboot my monitor goes blank and say's no signal then signal out of range and repeat and sound of the game play's in a loop and my pc is still running but i have to manually restart the pc to get the monitor to show its input. this happens in any graphical intensive games when the gpu has to boost up. If i stress the gpu in say heaven on loop it wil go black screen in 10 min and games could be 10 min to 30 min. i have also ran DDU and reinstalled the new drivers in safe mode. when i go to event viewer after it shows that the Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered. twice where i would say the blank screen occurs . i have tried these steps gaven by evega tech support.
1. Monitor the temperatures of the CPU, GPU and motherboard.
2. If you are overclocking the graphics card or the RAM set them back to base speeds and test with benchmarks. For the graphics card you can open Nvidia Control Panel by right clicking the desktop, clicking the Help tab and running in Debug mode.
3. Take the RAM down to 1 stick and test each one individually (typically in slot 1 or 3).
4. Set the power supply to High Performance through the power settings within Control Panel.
My new psu is a Super Flower Leadex GOLD 750W Full
so now after trying today to run some games this time the pc shutdown and would not turn back on, so i removed the 980ti and used the onboard gpu and the pc whill boot and run fine , so i put the 980ti back in but in a differnt slot and the pc will still not boot. untill the 980ti in out the pc.
Sorry for the wall of text any help?
