Hi, I have a Hyundai HLT-3270 32 inch HD Ready LCD TV that I want to connect my PC. The TV has the following connections:
1. DVI (DVI-I) which accepts a TMDS or HDCP signal
2. PC RGB (D-Sub 15 pin)
3. SCART (full)
4. SCART (half)
5. S-VHS
6. Component Input (Y, Pb, Pr) 480, 480p, 720p, 1080

My Computers graphic card is a 640mb NVidia 8800 GTS with 2 DVI connections.

What is the best way to connect my PC to this TV? I have tried DVI and it only seems to give me 1028 x 768. Can I get a high resolution if I were to by a DVI to component lead? Thanks for any help.

BTW. In the the TV manual, under specifications, RGB input format, It states that it is capable of 1280x1024 (SXGA?) but no mention of how to select that res. The res does not show on my graphics card panel and I know its capable of that and higher.

The top res on that TV is 1366 x 768, make sure the display is plugged in and switched on, reboot your pc and it should have that as an available resolution. If you put the res any higher like 1280x1024 it will be distorted and squashed.

Thanks for the reply. :) What connection would give me that choice of res? I have tried DVI and D-Sub and all I get is the 1024x768in my Nvidia control panel.

The instruction book say I can get the following resolutions:

RGB input format

640x480 - VGA

800x600 - SVGA

1024x768

1280x960

1280x1024 - SXGA

The problem is I dont know what connections I am supposed to use to get the above res.

You should be able to select these all via the DVI, if not give the D-SUB a try if you have the cable & Adapter, when you have the TV plugged in it should send the DDC data to your PC telling it what resolutions are available.
