Hey all
My PC is fairly new, and I only have a 350W PSU in it, and I'm assuming this is the problem, just wanted a confirmation before I actually buy a new PSU, would you guys agree?
Cheers![]()
What make psu is it?
Check event viewer logs.
If using vista just search event viewer and it comes up.
In fact, it is a 250w PSU, the make is FSP Group Inc, which was the stock PSU, so probably is the problem?
Most likely. A generic PSU running close to it's limit will alway cause problems. Get yourself a quality 400-450w, that'll give you a bit of headroom and future expansion capacity.
Okay got it, so what am I looking for? Had a quick browse and couldn't really work out much...
Could you recommend one? I have a 700w in my old PC, but won't fit in my new case![]()
What case is it? Does it need an mATX PSU? Good one's are hard to come by... i'd probably get a different case anyway, small one's are bad for airflow. What are your temps getting to anyway?
Doesn't Packard Bell use a custom ATX connector on their boards to stop you using a standard PSU or something silly like that??
