PC turning off

Hi bit of advise needed when I turn my PC on at the moment the fans will come on and lights etc on Mobo however it will quickly turn off and then repeat the same without booting up. Any ideas or is is simply a failing PSU?thanks

Is this a newly constructed PC or has it just randomly started happening?

Had it for two years with no problems until last couple of days

Probably full up with dust/soot/smegma.

I had the same happen to me when my PSU went so it is possible. Still as above check for dust and clean it out if necessary and try booting it without non essential things (optical drives, fan controllers, etc), try single RAM sticks and could even try disconnected HD to see if it goes to BIOS.

I agree sounds like PSU. Borrow one from another comp to make sure.

have you install anythink such as lights. my lights did they as the switch wire sleeve came off and the metal bit was touching the case and it wernt powering on.

boot loop is it? well ones you've cleaned out the smegma and the dust, check the ram as stated above, one stick at a time in one slot, then move to the next slot, rinse and repeat. do you overclock or anything like that?
