Hello I am clueless to what im doing here.

I had a problem when i thought my graphics card had broken because my screen kept going blank after like 10 minutes.

I then re inserted my old graphics card and it work well for a few days, then the same thing started happening.

My pc would turn off all the time or freeze are like 30 mins.

I'm now at a stage when the whole pc just does nothing.

Here is a video of what it does now.

Please can you try and help me as Im lost without it ahah

Intel Core i7 920
Sparkle GeForce GTX 275 896MB
Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD3R Intel X58
Corsair XMS3 6GB
Corsair HX 850W ATX Modular

Any more information needed ?

PSU should be up to the task unless it's died for whatever reason.

Got an old PSU to test with, or a friends or something?

Try your old PSU with only essentials, so one stick of RAM and the graphics card, no soundcards or wireless cards or anything and see how that goes. If that boots up then it's likely to be your PSU.

Did you buy it from OcUK? I'd imagine you'd go via the retailer rather than straight to Corsair but I'm not sure about that.

yeh i did,

Ive got the old ps in booted fine first time on windows.

restarted the pc and now nothing again...attempts to boot then turns off lol.

I must have some sort of bad luck

thats a bad bios setting reset bios if that doesnt work its a bad board , ram or cpu but normaly a bad board

This sounds silly... But are you sure all of the connections are in properly from the PSU?

Also, have you tried reseating the CPU cooler? It looks like you have a Corsair H50 or something. It's 'possible' that the CPU might be overheating and shutting down to prevent damage to it but I can't be entirely sure.

Can you give any more specific information as to what caused it or when?

Also, I'd try to boot from a different OS. From CD, Harddrive or USB to determine it's not the hard drive that's failing.

Previously i had my old psu kinda hanging out to test it.

Now it's full in and functioning correctly everything has been working for the past hour or so.

So I'm guessing it was a PSU fault.

How can i send my PUS back, i previously bought it from OCUK at Jan 1st this current year.
