Hi all.

I've just built a new PC and I'm having this strange problem that I've never seen before. Basically whenever I turn the plug on at the wall my PC will automatically start, my BIOS will be reset to default and it won't boot because the motherboard wants me to set it up again.

Everything else has been working fine so far.

Motherboard: ASUS Crosshair IV
Processor: Phenom II X6 1100T
Memory: Kingston 12GB (4x3)
PSU: Corsair TX850W

I'm hoping this is a simple issue to fix, and not a case of one of my components hitting the deck already -.-

Thanks in advance.

Is there a motherboard jumper missing or on the wrong pins?

Why triple memory on a dual channel board?

andy.

I've actually done a bit of reading and found out that the triple memory will run in single channel on a dual channel board... sigh looks like I have to take a stick out.

Thanks a lot for pointing that out man!
