Hi Guys,

Can someone help me please.

So my pc is turning on but then turns itself off after about a second and then turns it self back on, it then works perfectly, it only seems to do this if something new is plugged in or if the mains has been turned off.

Im using an Asus p5g41t-m lx2/gb motherboard.
Intel 2 quad core q6600 2.4gb
Msi gtx 1050 2gb
256gb sandisk ssd

Its probably one of the safety features in motherboard which tries to load saved settings if it cant it than tries to load default settings again.

If you are not overclocking and if system is working fine when its running then i would change motherboard battery first.
If you are overclocking then than dial down some of your settings.

I always had that with Asus boards on socket 775, it's nothing to worry about. I always put it down to it booting at stocks setting then detecting it's overclocked and rebooting to load those settings. It never caused any problems so I just got used to it. My old socket 1156 Asus P55 board did it as well. In fact this is the first build using a Asus board that hasn't done it.
