Hello today randomly my pc just shut down and started again but won't get far. Every component is new except my PSU. I think it's the PSU problem but I want confirmation. Pc doesn't get as far as bios sometimes, but if I turn off my PSU and wait a little then turn it back on it can go as far as to Windows homepage but then shuts off and starts looping again

Couple of things you could try is go to minimum components - just cpu, 1 stick of memory and use internal graphics.

Also check the temps in the BIOS and possibly try a CMOS reset.

I'm checking now but I'm getting no output to my monitor because probably hdmi cable doesn't support on board. I'll see if it still turns off and keeps restarting, edit: it does, I also removed 1 stick of ram but it still keeps restarting

I reset cmos and bios told me that on boot but computer still keeps shutting on and off

So it's not motherboard fault because it works, not cpu fault because I've gotten to Windows before and it works, not gfx fault because I removed it and still same problem, not sure about ram but I removed 1 stick and same problem, PSU is the only thing left?

the 3570k is ivybridge

latest i5 for that board would be either the 4670k or the newer devils canyon cpu the 4690k

if 4690k im not sure but you might need newer bios to support it better (could be cause of the loops?)

but don't rule out psu either

theres also the non k haswell chips which should be ok

you must have different mb then?

gigabyte h87 hd3 is socket 1150,your 3570k is 1155 socket?

if your seeing the bios its working so not important just confused, could be power supply only way to be sure is to try another

My mistake I meant

"Gigabyte H87-HD3 Motherboard (Socket 1150, H87 Express, DDR3, S-ATA 600, ATX, Haswell, Supports 4thGeneration IntelCore Processors, GIGABYTE UEFI Dual BIOS)"

"Intel Core i5 4670K Quad Core Retail CPU (Socket 1150, 3.40GHz, 6MB, Haswell, 84W, Intel Graphics, BX80646I74770, 4th Generation Intel Core, Turbo Boost Technology 2.0)"

"HyperX Genesis 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 CL9 DIMM Memory Kit (2 x 4 GB) - XMP Ready"

I'm not sure what triggered this though, it was working fine for like 3 months and now out of nowhere it shut down and kept restarting and looping
