PC Upgrade HELP

Hi All,

Need help with my computer upgrade, I have been going strong for 3 years now and have decided to upgrade

My current specs are:

FX-4100 @ 3.6Ghz
MSI 990FX GD80
AMD HD 6950 Direct CU II
XFX Pro 850W 80 Plus Bronze

I am not sure whether to get a HD 7970 Direct CU II Top/Matrix Plus a FX 8320 or just get a HD 7990.

I am NOT considering Nvidia so please leave that out of the dicussion.

P.S I want this system to last 3 years minimum like my current system or even longer

I am mainly using the pc for gaming, apart from that I use it for programming and general office work.
