Hi all,

Built this system summer 2016 on somewhat of a budget. Looking at potentially upgrading if its worth it, or holding off and saving for a new more powerful system.

CPU: Intel Core i5 6400 @ 2.70GHz
RAM: Kingston Hyper X DDR4-2133 Memory MOBO: ASRock H110M-HDV
GPU: 4095MB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 960 (EVGA)
Storage : 223GB PNY CS1311 240GB SSD (SSD) & 931GB Seagate ST1000DM003-1SB102 (SATA)
PSU: EVGA 500w 80+ Bronze

Current System: https://uk.************.com/user/Inkss/saved/#view=2PJRGX

Please let me know your thoughts and suggestions.

Cheers

What do you use this PC for? on the face of what you have listed its not bad, but if its games you are into a new GFX card will help.

Predominately gaming, has been used for video editing sporadically. At the moment, it is mainly gaming.
Any recommendations, I was thinking a long the lines of 1060? Potentially parts that are futureproof for when Icelake release.

Currently 1920x1080 @ 60HZ, but currently looking at upgrading that soon. Looking at ultrawides 2560x1080 @ 100hz+, so anything that would handle that would be nice.

For 1080P a GTX1060 6GB or RX580 8GB are perfect, go higher say 1440P and its GTX1070+ time.

If you upgrade the screen then get a 144Hz or greater one, makes all the difference in games it really does.

If you can get Gsync or Freesync also then even better.
