PC upgrade service ?

Same, i must have swaped my loop around 6 times this month as get bored of looking at it.

All i get from the other half why you ******* changing it again.

My favourite is when I'm looking at graphics cards I always get the same response.

"But you already have a graphics card".

I don't even.

Strip your own pc down to the stand-offs and then put it back together.

Bingo.

Now you know how to build a pc.

Installing the O/s is another matter.

So you choose components that are compatible with each other and in your overall price range.

Sites like OcUK Store even make it easy getting the compatibility right.

yes, ive ordered the parts already, should be here tomorrow, if i fail, ill have to drive to the store and get it done there

The problem I've found with doing anything like this is that this almost never works on a commercial basis. It's not worth it for the company purely due to the amount of issues people will come back with "Ever since you upgraded xyz part, things haven't been working" or having someone send in DDR4 ram with a DDR3 motherboard expecting us to just make it work.

my thoughts exactly

£40 courier there and back
£25 for 1 hour labour
£25 for admin time (package, unpackage phone calls etc)

thats just to break even, add say £80 profit (to allow for additional support / returns)

thats £190 + cost of parts

you could get a local person to do it

I'm roughly 2 hours away, bit too far. If you have a tablet / smart phone you can simply YouTube it; there are so many guides about on the internets that take you through step by step on how to build a PC.

LinusTechTips, for example, has a fantastic series going through building a gaming rig from the ground up. I'd link it but YouTube is blocked at work :(

guys, i got the delivery this morning. I will try to do it myself, if all fails then i managed to find a pc repair store near where i live who install parts/build pc for £40+
and ill carefully watch how he does it so that i can learn a few bits :)
Thanks everyone
