Hi folks, I've been reading the forums a lot lately, and now I have a reasonable amount of cash, I'm looking to upgrade my system.

About 4 months ago I bought a new gfx card (7900Gt), new PSU (Tagan 500W) and a new case (Antec P180). I used what I had of my old system (P4 3.2ghz, some crappy Mobo, 1GB PC3200 RAM (again crappy), a 250GB HD) with this new stuff just to tide me over until I had some more money. Now I've got the money, I'm looking to pretty much revamp the whole system, apart from PSU+Gfx card.
I've got around £500-600 to spend on it, so I was wondering what you guys thought?

I was thinking something along the lines of an E6600, a new mobo and new RAM. All of which I'm open to suggestions for, as I'm pretty behind on what to buy etc right now.

Cheers, Tom.

Thanks for the swift response!

Thats looks about spot on for the money I have and spec I'm looking for. Whats the OCing potential of those bits, since I'm looking to get into some OCing myself.

I've heard the e6600 is very overclockable - speeds of over 3ghz on air cooling?, and i read on the forums that the geil ram can be oc'ed from 800mhz to 1000mhz
