PC upgrading help

I play my PC a lot and have recently been noticing performance issues when playing latest gen games/ good looking games such as BF4,ARMA 3 and bioshock infinite. I'm fairly new to the technical side of computing and need a bit of help.
My current PC specs are:
Motherboard: Gigabyte Z68AP-D3 (socket 1155)
CPU: Intel I5 2500K
Graphics card: GTX 560ti 2GB
Power supply: 600W Cooler master
Case: Antec 300
I've been thinking about getting the Intel I7 3770K and MSI Radeon R9 290 4096MB. Is this a good idea or not, or is there a better combination for under £600. If you would like to know anything else just message.

I personally don't think you will see a great gain going to a 3770, I would look at overclocking your current CPU and updating your GPU.

What GPU would you recommend to work well? Would the one I've been looking at still be bottlenecked even if the CPU was overclocked?

A new case as the Antec300 is a bit old and will barely get a R9 290 inside it.

Yes, then use the HDD as a D: drive for storage and whatever else you cant fit on the SSD
