PC will not boot after overclock... :(

right, well sounds stuiped but just cheek if the manual that you connected everything in the correct location.

cheek temps in bios, manualy set the RAM to the timings, voltage and speed to the settings on the side of the ram and try to boot again, u may need to reformat tho, not sure if u have successfuly reformated yet

I'm trying to format but keep getting the error that windows cannot install required files & that the file may be corrupt or missing.

Error Code: 0x80070017

I also get this error:

Window name: rollback.exe - Bad Image
Message: D:\Sources\Input.dll is either not designed to run on Windows or it contains an error.

Yeah, I just re-installed windows. However I'll have to reformat again soon... I lost my 64bit disk so at the moment I'm just co-operating with 32bit until one of my friends comes over with his 64bit he said I could lend. Other than that all is fine. Sucks that I'm limited to 3.25GB RAM! ARGH! It will have to do for now until I get my pile of work done in time for sixth form.

Oh & Ive also successfully unlocked a 3rd core it seems! I left prime95 running whilst I was asleep, woke up this morning to still find my machine on lol.. with prime95 running still.

Hello, just though I'd update you all. Everything is fine still :D. The unlocked core (X3 3.10Ghz) is still currently stable. Ive also upgraded the RAM to 6GB (from 4GB) installation went great... last board only supported a maximum of 4GB :p

I'm even going to go ahead and purchase an new Phenom X6 (95W support only) later in the next 2 weeks after I do some research on which to go for & maybe even purchase a new card, nothing too great.. maybe in the HD5800 range.

Anyways, I think it's safe to mark this thread as solved.

Thank's to all who cooperated with me & your comments meant a lot to me, so thank you.

Peter.
