i went back to one of my pcs that i didn't get round to sorting and i put ssd in and got windows ready to install but it wont turn on proper via monitor, ive checked all the leads and everything and cant work it out why it still says no signal even tried another screen and still does same.

any advice on what to try would be amazing thanks

Gigabyte B450M DS3H mATX Motherboard for AMD AM4
Crucial Ballistix BL2K8G36C16U4B 3600 MHz, DDR4, DRAM, Desktop Gaming Memory Kit, 16GB (8GB x2), CL16, Black
CORSAIR TX550M Semi-Modular ATX PSU - 550 W
AMD Ryzen 3 3100 Processor OR it was 2600 but cant check yet :(
AMD RX570

Are you plugging the signal cable into the gpu? Do you get a post screen? Do all lights come on etc, any debug lights on board? Power cables going into GPU? I'd re-seat the cpu/motherboard/gpu power cables too.

Do you remember putting the hdmi or whatever cable into the motherboard I/O or the gpu? As the 2600/3100 don't have an iGPU that would explain no signal, or if the gpu has no power from the psu, i'd be looking at those first.

Ignore me then, i thought you meant blackout during part of the boot/ install process.

Reseating as above best bet. Different cable, DP and HDMI i'd also try just to be sure.

yeah no worries thanks, i will try everything inc different cables and the hdmi is plugged into the gpu and the gpus fans are not on but the Sapphire light is lit on the side of the gpu card!

That could be normal and it just running 0db because its not got to a certain temp, but from my previous experience even when cards have this feature, the fans initially have spooled up then gone off, but might differ from card to card.

nothing worked so far, but on the off chance does it matter about the fuse size in the plug as ive noticed some are various amps and not all 13amp fuses ! just checking everything incase i got leads mixed up

Tbh never looked at kettle lead fuse, I've got hundreds of the things :p

If it is a 3100 that board may need a bios update to support that cpu which could be the issue. If its a 2600 though that should work out of the box.

Do the fans stay on? Or does it get stuck in a boot loop where the fans flick off and it attempts to reboot? Clear the CMOS too if its all newly put together.

I'd clear the CMOS, if that doesn't work, take off the cooler to identify the CPU.

its the 3100,

all fans are on except the gpu i did the cmos and still exact same tried loads of hdmi cables etc and ive never had this issue ever before :(

Using a CPU that has a graphics chip, sadly. I don't ever recall reading that people were able to force a bios upgrade without visuals. I guess it could exist, but i've never seen it.

Edit. Or a supported CPU. Zen or Zen+ / 1*** or 2*** series.

Oh, and the fuse, not sure. But you don't need a 13A fuse from my experience. I think mine has 5 or 8.

Yeah you'll either need a 1/2 gen ryzen, Athlons may work too I think, personally i'd be going for one with an on board gpu like the 2200g etc, as this could also eliminate any graphics card problem at the same time.

At one point AMD were doing some form of promo where they sent out a chip for bios flashing, but not sure if that still exists.

OR you could buy another motherboard with 3xxx support and sell your current one, about the only options you have i'm afraid.
