Just did a new build try some overclocking for the first time as ive built systems before. Ive got for this build following specs:
ASUS M4A88T-M Motherboard
AMD Athlon II X3 3.0GHZ Processor (Unlocked to AMD Phenom II X4 3.1GHZ)
2GB DDR3 PNY 1333MHZ PC3 10660 RAM
ATI HD5770 1GB DDR5 Graphics card
OCZ 700W PSU
all put inside a Unicorn Steel and aluminium case
Anyway i got the system up and running on windows 7 64BIT Ultimate tested out some things got it gaming etc. Then tried overclocking the CPU and Unlocking the 4th core and L3 Cache successfully !. Got a Big artic cooler heatsink cooling the CPU very good temps. Anyway its been running stable for a month now then i decided to start adding more RAM Case fans and neons etc etc But upon adding an identical 2GB DDR3 PNY 1333MHZ Ram stick the PC either wouldnt boot or BSOD'd i removed the RAM and it booted no problem. I then tried with only the new ram also booted no problem... ive tried in differenet slots i have 4. But no go pc wont boot with both RAM DIMMS inserted .... so the new ram isn't faulty i tested it but pc wont run with both RAM DIMMS inserted no matter what combination... ANy ideas guys ive asked on other forums my friend from work is a moderator here and advised me to ask the guys on OCUK. Merry Christmas everyone.
