pc wont boot

ok wise men

i transfered the guts out of a case the other day and added abit more memory (128k) dont ask its a lasses at works pc, anyways i swapped everything over and checked it and all was fine, but this morning shes came in work saying the pc wont boot up :eek:

says she gets the windows page with the bar on but after that it closes down :confused:

could this be due to a dodgy ide cable on her hard drive? any ideas would help as shes bringing it back in for me to look at tomorrow morning and would like to get it sorted at work before i start
