Hi all,

pc has gone into eternal boot cycle. All fans are working, got display and i can get into bios, but when it trys to load win xp,it gets to 3 blue bars and bsod. There is no beep and hard drive does not spin up.Tried different ram which used to work in system fine till i upgraded,1 stick at a time in different slots and i have removed mobo battery for 24 hours and loaded fail-safe and optimised defaults, but no luck.

Some history:
pc is nearly 3 years old and has never given me any problems until about 2 months ago when we was having a party and while i left the room someone downloaded a music program called limewire.Next morning i switched on pc and it bsod and went into similar boot cycle but was easily sorted by loading fail-safe defaults and down clocking cpu from 3.6-1.3v to 3.3 and stock volts 1.275v (had pc running on 3.4 on stock volts for first year)and all was fine until 2 weeks ago it bsod again, went into boot cycle and i had to clear cmos and load optimised defaults-so all back to stock and worked fine until friday. Now trying all above has no effect.
Temps have always been on the low side and about 18 months ago i reflashed the bios from shipped f3 to f6 and then after a week to f8.

Specs are:

E6850
GA-X38-DQ6
H50
Corsair HX620
Antec p182se
OCZ Reaper 2x2 1066 now 1xgig of ocz reaper 1066
gtx 260
samsung 500 gig hd
windows xp

I dont want to start firing money at the problem because for me its a total gamble as to which parts may be goosed, if any.

Help greatly appreciated
