PC would not POST at default timings

I meant the moment when you find that someone has signed for it. Theye give you the time and the day. I was pleasantly suprised by this. It is not DHL but still ten times cheaper :)

oh yeah. There was no way on earth I was goin to be sending it via UPS or DHL like they wanted. £7 with compensation sounded like a good deal to me.

Heard anything yet? Have you actually had confirmation of delivery yet? Mine's been saying it's been passed over to the American postal service for ages now.

Mine was delivered at Patriot on 7th February. Since then I have been waiting. I had to call them and was told that they were going to send it. Later it turned out that they were about to send it somewhere in the US.

I am expecting my memory to be dispateched anytime now.

It took a bit longer for Royal Mail to drop the parcel.
IIRC Royal Mail could trace it for you after 14 days have passed and the parcel had not been delivered.

Why do not you call them?

In case you would like to talk to the RMA department I will send you the number.

Good luck!

Good news the RAM arrived today but it still doesn't work at the stated speed/timings!

I thought the system tested sticker was a good sign but obviously not.

I had mine on Monday but have been too busy to put it in the PC. I also have the sticker (in fact I was told that they are double checking it) but it might not mean much.

Would it run if you go to manual and push it? I hoped that it will be automatically recognised.

Post your observations and good luck!

Hi Mundu,

I have just installed the newly arrived two memory sticks. Initially when on Auto the memory was not recognised, but then I applied manually the factory settings and it ran it smoothly.

Have you tried to do this in the BIOS and see whether it would boot?

Been running them manually but no like. I'm going to try and up the volts and see what happens but patriot said they'll send out a prepaid label.

This is really annoying. Obviously it wasn't tested.

You might have to wait a bit but they will sort it out.

I tried upping the volts with my previous pair of sticks but it did not help at all. Moreover I do not like the idea of pushing it too much.

Hi Mundu,

I have been testing my memory and found out that my memory is borked.

You did mention "prepaid label". Does this mean, they will cover the expenses?

I am going to talk to them as the situation is unbearable. Memtest86 did not find any errors but as soon as I start ORTHOS the system becomes unstable after 15-20 secs.

I will try to up the voltage a bit, up to 2.8V and see what happens.

The first time you send the memory out you'll have to pay but these were my replacement sticks whichstill don't work.

This means that I am in with a tenner. I send their replacement back and paid the expenses. I should have known.
