PCB swap on Western Digital

Can a PCB swap on a Western Digital sata hard drive make it work again? Anynoe done this.

It is definetly the pcb. the drive does not power up, I tried a pcb from a different model sata 2 where as the damaged one is sata 1. The drive powers up not, but not detected by the pc. I have just found the identical model and will try that.
