PCI-E 1.0 and a GTX560ti... will it work?

Hi, as the title suggests im about to upgrade my GTS250 on my intel 975bx2 mobo and it has a version 1.0 PCI-E setup. All id like to know is will the PCI-E compliant 2.0 GTX560ti work on my board??

Just a heads up incase anyone is interested I installed the MSI GTX560ti 448 I'm my rig and it's running beautifully...

Whether I'm bottlenecked or not I could care less BF3 multiplayer on ultra is smooth as :)

Just curious Elrein. What fps are you getting in BF3 and what resolution you playing at?

Interested in this card and because it's a limited edition (or at least I think so) me thinks once they are gone then thats it. Won't be able to get one unless you go 2nd hand.

Have you over clocked it?
 
Still running the stock 750mhz

I've read 900 is an easy goal as its afterburner unlocked on all 3 voltages

Sat I'll kick it as hard as I can n see what happens ... Although I do fear my E6600 @ 3ghz wont be helping much beyond the standard clock.

Fwi I got 1011 on the heaven benchank today, on the OcUK thread settings ...
 
ive got a bx2 and e6600 in my lads pc and it will go to 3.5 with a bit of voltage . slap an arctic cooler on and you will get there . that mobo is class . i think it takes a quad as well q6600
 
Basically it's running at PCI-E 2.0 x8 so yeah its fine. I have seen comparisons of PCI-E x4, x8, x16. The difference between x8 and x16 was something like 5%, x4 was quite a bit more and should be avoided for anything above mid range cards.
