pci-e 1 or pci-e version 2

I have just bought a ATI 4870 1gig card and i have just found out that my motherboard has a pci-e version 1, So would i get a increase in performance with version 2.

yes but it would be pretty minimal (single figures) not worth buying a new motherboard for.

I went from a pci 1 ---> 2 and i can tell you it was about 0.5% increase not worth it imo
