PCI-E --> AGP, Possible ?

yeh thats kinda what i was expecting to hear ! oh well.

Are there any socket A motherboards out there with pce-e ??

You could cut up the connector to make it fit in an AGP slot but it wouldn't work.

EDIT: what card is it? The higher end models on AGP sometimes fetch more than their PCI-E counterparts.

It would work if you get the size right. Measure it out accurately and mark it with a pen EXACTLY where you need to cut. If you cut too far it wont work and you will have messed up a graphics card. If you don't cut enough then obviously it wont fit in the slot.

Have an AGP card next to you when you do it so you can use it as reference if possible. You're not affecting your warranty you will just be lowering the cards value as AGP is outdated. Good luck friend!

I think its about time to get a new pc, socket a is too old. Only problem it will cost a fair bit since your going to have to at least buy a new motherboard, ram, cpu and graphics card maybe even a new psu. Hope u got some money saved :)
