Complete newbie to the lower end card game, what will give me at least as good/better performance than my old AGP X800GTO2 (flashed to X850) so I can at least play Fifa/WoW etc? I am not a serious gamer but I want something that will let me play games like the above okay, the X800 let me play them maxed out okay :)

I don't mind if it is nvidia or ati, just gotta get it soon as I have just upgraded my cpu/mobo and the onboard graphics (ntegrated VIA Chrome9 Graphics) can just about handle the desktop :p

7600GT a good performer and a decent price @ £64

If you could stretch that would give you an even nicer boost! £82 for an x1950pro is a steal :)

Direct on your price the 7600GT but the x1950pro can be had for less than £20 more and it is ultimately better than the 7600GT! Either will play the games you mentioned well

Melbourne beat me to the 7600GT but my ATi suggestion is miles better lol

thumbs up for the 7600 gt here :)
just put one of these in a basic pc set up in the house:
(athlon64 3800+, 1 gb ram etc)
its a cracking card for the price...

7600GT is the best mid range card for that price I would say. You may be able to get a 1800xt for that price if you are willing to buy used.

7600GT wont provide with any sort of performance boost from an X800, I'd opt for the X1950pro if I were you, and quick!

True, but he asked for the same or quicker for £60 :)

Anyway, get the x1950 Pro, its a steal.
