PCI not detected

I've had this problem for a while now, my Belkin wireless PCI card isn't being detected by my motherboard. Its not the card, since it works fine in my brothers PC, just when I put it back into mine, still nothing.
I have a PCI soundcard as well, which is working. How much of a fuss will the computer make if I plug the sound card into a different slot, so I can see if its a dead slot or card.

If its not a problem with the PCI slots, what options are there for me? Would flashing the mobo bios to the latest version help?

The sounds card won't mind which slot it is in, it may re-detect itslef when you boot back up but other than that it should be fine.

Updating BIOS may help, deff worth a shot. What happens if you don't have your sound card plugged in at all?
