ahhhh so i dont need to buy a new motherboard then
I think you might be getting confused between pci and pci express.

That board does not accept pci express graphics cards, so if you want to use one you will need a new board.

Pci graphics cards are extremely slow, old, and unsuitable for anything except basic office stuff.
Pci express is a completely new standard and slot, and houses all the current performance graphics cards.

Here, the black slot is pci express while the white one is pci.

oh, how do you find out what chipset your motherboard is?, mine will be nvidia right?

Yes its nvidia Nforce 2, it won't support any PCI-Express graphics cards. If you want to upgrade to PCI-E you'll need a new CPU and motherboard.

You can still get good agp graphics cards, such as the 6800gs and 7800gs if you want to keep it going for another year or so before upgrading.

This is the Sparkle Nforce2 board as previously sold by Overclockers.

It's a rebadged Chaintech AGP and PCI board and NOT a PCI express board.
