PCIE Devices ?

Asus Z170-PRO, Intel Z170, S 1151, DDR4, SATAe, M.2 (PCIe/SATA),
6700k
Nvidia 770
Creative SoundBlaster Z Recon PCIe (ocuk)
Asus Z170 Pro (not gameing) board supports M.2 PCIE

If I use both the SoundBlaster and a new M.2 Pcie will it take 8 lanes of pcie
I have to buy a new Os drive for more capacity but not if it reduces Graphics in any way. I do not know if the soundcard I bought from you is using pcie lanes in the same way as a M.2 Pcie would. ?

I can make do with another sata ssd if it impacts on graphics lanes.

I suspect the M.2 PCIe lanes will not be from the CPU but the Southbridge/IO hub whatever they call it these days, the Soundblaster will probably end up using the CPU's PCIe lanes.

An Nvidia 770 would not be bottle necked by running on 8 lanes of gen3 PCIe though, so I wouldn't worry about it.

One of the PCIe x16 slots shares its PCIe lanes with SATA channels 5 and 6. And maybe the M.2 socket.

From the specification notes:

*1: The PCIe x16_3 slot shares bandwidth with SATA6G_56. The PCIe x16_3 is default set at x2 mode. Supports Intel® RST for PCIE RAID storage.
*2: Supports PCIE RAID configurations via onboard M.2 and PCIex16_3.
*3: M.2 shares SATA mode with SATA Express. Change this item before installing M.2 SATA devices.
*4: These functions will work depending on the CPU installed.
