PCs designed for cats

This thread is inspired by a post in another thread that mentioned a cat-induced malfunction. I know someone else who had to protect cables from feline sabotage by routing them where they can't be reached. My own PC was made without a power button on the front, so that a cat climbing up it won't "accidentally" turn it off. I also gave it a wide, flat top to serve as a warm place to sit and supervise.

How many of you have done things to your computers for the sake of cats or other species?

PCs back is facing window, have shutters on the inside so no room for the cats to get behind it (and open window is great ventilation!). Its also on a unit that it fits perfectly on, the front and back feet go right up to the edges so bit of overhang on the front but they cant hit the power button. Top is nice and wide and the AIO vents out the top so they love laying on it (cloth handles as well which they love to rest head on). Only issue I have is there is room for 1, and got 2 cats. Its prime location and they know it, the smarter of the pair will pester me for treats and act all loving, when the treats come out the other cat will jump down and run over, the smart one never wanted treats he wanted to get the other cat off! Occasional if one is sitting on it rather than laying there is room for the other one and it ends up being a battle royal to see who remains!

Not cats, and not the computer directly. But I did have to dog-proof my incoming phone line when our old dogs were pups, because one of them kept chomping on the external part of the wire.

Relevant here because it was first noticed because the internet access kept dropping out. It was around a side of the house we never really went, so took us bloody ages to work out what the issue was.

Touchy subject
Last week I had a firmware update
First time I have ever had a
Firmware update for a motherboard audio chip
In my life

Finished firmware update
Now I have no sound
And of course there's never been
An earlier firmware to attempt to flash back to

Could still use Bluetooth audio
And usb audio
But all 5 x 3.5mm port were dead

After 3 days of this
I decide to look behind the pc
And turns out as I was flashing the firmware
The little furry ####### had pulled out
The extension going to the 3.5mm Jack
So i had been trying all the 3.5mm ports
With a cable Not attached to the extension wire to the speakers

Cats love computers
Lay on it
On the keyboard or mouse mat
Somewhere i have a photo of
A previous cat who climbed into the pc
While I had the psu out
No idea how he got his fat butt
Through the psu hole

Ozzy, my big boy cat loves sitting then lying down on top of my Lian Li 011 Dynamic Evo RGB which of course blocks the exhaust of my 360 AIO making the fans ramp up more and more as the water gets warmer. One of my previous cats also liked to sit on the exhaust vents on top of whatever case I had at the time. I guess they enjoy the airflow.
