Peak District?

So my fiancée wants to take a holiday and has decided that she likes the look of the Peak District. I'll admit now that I know next to nothing about the region.

We're probably looking at a long weekend in the region, b&b or cottage or the like.

Any ideas where to start?

Maybe Hathersage or Castleston, don't think there's any hotels but I reckon there maybe be a couple of pubs that rooms
