Peanut Butter people!!!!

Going to have to try that :) Satay chicken in peanut butter sauce is great from my local takeaway.

.

It is a thick satay sauce.
Roughly 1/2 cup water for every tablespoon of crunchy peanut butter
3 tablespoons peanut butter (heaped)
2-3" cube of creamed coconut
A. Bit of lemon/lime juice to taste probably a tablespoon or two
As much chilli powder or fresh chilli as you want
Can add soy sauce, ginger and other stuff if you want.

I don't know what it is. In peanut butter but as soon as it comes to the boil it thickens. Just add more water if it's to thick and peanut butter if it's to slack.

That sounds so good. I highly doubt it'll be good for you after the exercise you've just done, as it'll be undoing all the good work you've just done surely? :P

Full fat milk and peanut butter ane great sources of protein. Many people mix PB in with their protein shakes anyway.

Banana is a good source of natural carbs and sugar as well. I think Nutella is the only really bad bit, but then I think even that is supposed to have vitamin C in it or something which is essential for all sorts of bodily functions.

not to mention if you exercise a lot anyway you're meant to eat a lot more calories than your every day person anyway otherwise you can end up losing too much weight through higher resting metabolism and the usual calorie loss by exercising anyway.

so yeah, you'd be surprised how much some of these things are better for you than you think.

Oh and not forgetting full fat milk is full of calcium as well, great for strong bones which athletes want.

Marks & Spencer Peanut Butter is the best Ive ever had, it is so damned tasty and only around a quid a jar.
If you like peanut butter you owe it to yourself to try this stuff, it is absolutely fantastic!

Love the stuff and as such try not to buy it

Same here, I'm actually ashamed at my complete lack of self control where peanut butter is involved :(

I don't buy it any more because no matter what I tell myself in the supermarket, I will end up eating the entire jar with a spoon that same evening.

It's like telling the sea not to come in, I'm powerless.

Found this recipe which looks awesome. Will be making them for tomorrow

A question then to all you peanut butter lovers; which brand / type is the best? I've had some that taste more oily than others, some that are too chunky etc.

Which have you found to be the best?

As a poor student I would usually just go for Tesco or Asda own brand. Somebody on here suggested M&S own brand I think.

And then of course there is Sun Pat crunchy peanut butter which is great. but if you like smooth the American Skippy or Reeces is pretty good.
