Peanut butter with butter ?

I only bother with butter if I'm having a sandwich or toast with nothing else spread on it i.e. mayonaise, peanut butter, jam etc

The only exception is with pate and then butter is a must.

Hi, I have friend staying over, she asked for a slice of peanut butter on toast. She thinks it's abnormal to have butter or margarine with the peanut butter (as it contains butter) I disagree and think you definitely need butter/margarine with your peanut butter. Please shed a little peanut light. Butter or no butter?

Ask her where she stands on Butter & Jam together ;)

I love the chunky peanut butter on toast or in brown / wholemeal sandwich with bit of jam on it to give sweetness, toast with coffee and sandwich with milk is how i combat the dryness :D

I would never use butter if I was making something with peanut butter, that's about as weird as having butter with jam.

i put butter on with jam its nasty otherwise, i also butter toast or bread when have peanut butter.

love peanut butter and cheese sandwichs. i've been told thats weird though

I always felt weird putting butter on and then slapping on some peanut butter on top. I felt like a big fat waster. It does taste a bit better with it on though. I only really like the 'smooth' peanut butter though, the normal stuff doesn't like my body

Don't think I've ever had it on toast. Sounds strange if you ask me. The peanut butter would probably be soak into the bread and make it all soggy

peanut butter is something like a minimum of 90% peanut. the rest would be added oil (if needed, peanuts produce a lot of oil anyway) or sweetners. there's no butter in it at all.
