friend has just got one of these

how do they connect to email and the internet

is it through wap, 3g, wifi

really dont get them

The Pearl uses GPRS to connect to your chosen Blackberry Server.

That server then collates all of your emails from various accounts and advises you when a new one has been collected.

The Pearl then gets the emails pushed to it from the Blackberry Server.

Nice system, though I'm not a fan of the Pearl form factor. Much prefer the new Curve, having an 8700 myself.

Work gave me a blackberry, I hate it. Just can't get on with it although I do like Brick Breaker.

It does take a little getting used to i have one for important client accounts to be e mailed to me on the go. hard life being an accountant.
