You mean £50 a year? I haven't avoided it.

In addition, I've never lent like that, I was using it as an example. I've had b class loans for £3k lent out at 16% and all kinds of amounts at various rates.

Thanks for posting this, whilst i'm not in the 40% would I be right in assuming the expected return after tax and fees would be only a fraction higher? My cash (instant access ISA) get's just 2%, and looking around the rest aren't much better at 2.5.

Would be about 1% higher at the A* and closer to 1.4% at the "high" risk long term B loans.

Basically the amount to add make onto the estimated returns is 20% (one fifth) of the rate being charged.
