Turn Computer on and screenstays on Pentium D logo and balck screen for about 30 mins then continues

Any Idea?

What are your Specs, does it work fine after 30s? Could be something to do with the USB Storage devices, normally on a 30sec timer.

Or a 30 minute timer

Does it hang before or after the windows splash screen? Like MarkyB said more details are needed

i don't know specs as its a mates PC. It gets stuck on the splash screen for 30 mins

Try resetting BIOS via the CMOS jumper on your mates motherboard. easy to do. He might have ******* about in BIOS.

thats the thing the bios option doesnt come up, it doesnt even give u the option too, just after about 30 mins on the spash screen (pentium D) it then jumps throught to start up

Open the case and reset it on the motherboard physically. (Do this if you know what you're doing of course)
