It's hardly surprising that people flock to beaches when the suns out, after all that's what the majority of people travel to the likes of Spain to do.
I've been going there since I was little. It's not like that now. On a Sunny weekend day & the School hols most of North London decides to pay a visit. Pier Avenue, which is the main road to the beach is plagued with traffic. It goes quiet when the shops shut though. Try getting a parking place on such a day, my advice is go there early.
The winter is much better though the beach cafes are shut then.
did the gannel newquay and Polly joke yesterday pretty quiet tbh a quater of a mile walk from car park really lowers the numbers on the beach ,had this little one to myself today at trebarwith (only cut off like this mid to high tide) ,collected some seaweed ,theres cliff steps to it but people dont like to exert energy they will crash inches apart on the easily accessible no effort places
