People are moaning at me useing tracer dart in BC2...

If your in a tank, and one tracer dart hits you know you have about 10 secs before you ******. Pretty OP if you ask me.

Then again so is noob tube, carl gustav and mortor's.

relax people will ALWAYS bitch in online games for being bettered by someone, look at MW2 anyone using the grenade launcher was immediately branded a noob, but funnily enough the people doing the branding were always a bunch of plonkers running around with lightweight pro and commando pro just teleport stabbing, that takes a lot of skill doesn't it  or people using steady aim pro and akimbo shotguns, again very skillful, just ignore them and call them stupid american crybabies, works well for me! :D

I haven’t used it yet but I hear good things about it. As far as I was aware I thought it just "tagged" the vehicle so it constantly displayed on the map. I just unlocked the 3rd launcher last night (the guided one) and was wondering if it was still worth using the tracer + the other launcher.

Masterdog: Just spam the space button (Default for jump) when you jump out from a Blackhawk or something.

i find the guided one takes around 5 hits to kill a tank :( stick with the first RPG and tracer. Far more effective

It still only takes 1 for a chopper though and can be easier than trying to plant the tracer depending on the pilot. Prefer CG though as they can be fire and forget vs infantry aswell as better for tanks.

The first RPG is the best anti tank, the second, Carl, best at anti building/soldier and the third as well as guided I believe is an average between the first two in terms of damage (though I may be wrong for that one, but the RPG is definitely the best AT).

I only ever use the RPG as I dont see any point in sacrificing AT capabilities. The tracer dart is useful but definitely not over powered or a kickable offense. Most of the time when using it you will either miss with it and waste a lot of time or a tank is so close that you may as well just have RPG'd with a careful shot it and not bothered using a dart at all. At medium/short range if you complain about being hit by a tracer dart you could have probably just as easily been hit by two or so rpgs in that time so theres no reason to moan about it.

Still you cant beat the dart for taking out helis (though I did get one chopper with an unguided RPG as it flew over head :D), 'hill' camping tanks that retreat whenever they see a rocket on its way and long range fixed weapon sniping.

One thing that bothers me about it is that for some reason locked on rockets that are fired javelin missile style have a very bad habit of clipping trees on the way down that they don't seem to have hit, maybe thats just been bad luck the 4 or 5 times I've tried it.
